Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor for the Grid & Digital Solutions Department of the Thermal Power & HVDC Division, based at Torness, Scotland. You will oversee on-site electrical construction, lead subcontractors and site teams, ensure compliance with drawings and standards, and coordinate with engineering, quality, and HSE teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in electrical construction projects with supervision of installation works.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and site teams in the power/energy sector.
• Strong understanding of electrical installations, drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• UK construction and HSE regulations knowledge is advantageous.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating day-to-day electrical construction activities on site.
• Leading electrical subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Ensuring installations follow project specifications and standards.
• Monitoring workforce productivity and progress against schedule.
• Identifying technical issues and coordinating resolutions with teams.
• Verifying material, tools and equipment readiness for electrical works.
• Conducting regular site inspections and enforcing quality control.
• Supporting testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinating with engineering, construction, quality, and HSE teams.
• Preparing daily/weekly progress reports and site records.
• Promoting health, safety, and environmental performance on site.
