Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Knowsley is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a growing manufacturing facility. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across a range of industrial equipment, ensuring reliability and uptime.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently within a team on-site, with duties spanning pumps, gearboxes, motors and rotating equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in industrial settings.
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, motors and rotating equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs.
• Maintaining and repairing pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, valves and related equipment.
• Working on mechanical drives, bearings, seals and rotating equipment.
• Maintenance and installation of industrial pipework and fittings.
• Welding, fabrication and general mechanical fitting.
• Working on industrial utilities including steam boilers and compressed-air systems.
• Supporting equipment installation, modifications and improvement projects.
• Identifying recurring equipment failures and recommending improvements.
• Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Ensuring maintenance activities comply with site health, safety, quality and hygiene procedures.
