Job summary

Russell Taylor is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our Knowsley site. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial production equipment to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

You will diagnose faults, repair pumps, gearboxes and rotating equipment, and support installation and improvement projects. We expect at least 3 years in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting, with strong fault-finding skills and knowledge of

Qualifications

At least 3 years' experience in mechanical maintenance (industrial/manufacturing).
Experience with pumps, gearboxes, motors and rotating equipment desirable.
Knowledge of health, safety and safe systems of work required.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs.
Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, motors, valves and rotating equipment.
Work on mechanical drives, bearings, seals and rotating equipment.
Maintain and install industrial pipework and fittings; welding and fabrication as needed.
Work on industrial utilities (steam boilers, compressed air) and support installation/modification projects.
Identify recurring equipment faults and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure safety procedures.
