Job summary

E3 Recruitment is recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer in Widnes for a market leading manufacturing firm. The role offers 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri days, with a salary up to £45,000 and overtime at 1.5x.

You will contribute to plant maintenance, repairs, and continuous production targets, with strong training and career development opportunities. The ideal candidate holds an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, with mechanical or electrical expertise, and a good health & safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent (NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or above) - Mechanical or Electrical
• High degree of Health & Safety awareness
• A competent welder would be advantageous
• Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems
• Maintenance Engineer experience or qualifications

Responsibilities

• Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs, ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining manufacturing machinery
• Repair of equipment including pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic valves, pneumatic valves and equipment.
• Fabrication of parts for the plants as well as welding
• Emergency breakdowns of equipment including conveyors, vibrators, mixers, hoppers and hydraulic press equipment
