Job summary

Pall Corporation, a Danaher company, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop strategies, systems and processes that enable efficient production of quality, cost-effective products in Redruth, Cornwall. Join a team ensuring manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement.

You'll work with production and Design Engineering to optimize routings, SOPs and tooling, support safe process changes, and help implement Lean and NPI practices across the site.

Qualifications

  • Formal engineering qualification to at least HNC level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing Engineering principles and practices.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on production/manufacturing engineering experience, including familiarity with welding, fabrication and general sheet metal operations, and small machine/equipment design.
  • Knowledge of bills of materials, routings, manufacturing procedures, tooling/fixture design, Lean Manufacturing/CI principles, NPI.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule, process costs and identify appropriate manufacturing methods.
  • Align with product lines to ensure SOPs, fixtures, tooling, procedures, and processes are in place for manufacturing.
  • Determine whether tooling is built in-house or subcontracted, ensuring cost-effective, on-time procurement.
  • Assume responsibility for safe operating practices for changed processes, including written or oral procedures.
  • Identify and develop production, assembly and test processes to manufacture products cost-effectively and efficiently.
