Job summary

VANRATH is recruiting an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead an on-site staff canteen in Lisburn. The role focuses on delivering high-quality food, safe kitchen operations, and efficient service in a hands-on management capacity.

The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations, plan menus, control stocks and budgets, and ensure HACCP compliance. This permanent, full-time post runs Monday to Friday with a Saturday morning rota.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering management or lead cook roles.
• Experience with HACCP documentation and procedures.
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible with Saturday morning rota.

Responsibilities

• Run day-to-day operation of the on-site canteen and maintain high quality food and service.
• Plan menus and prepare meals to a high standard for staff.
• Order supplies, manage stock and control catering budget.
• Supervise and support the catering team.
• Maintain a safe working environment in line with health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep HACCP and other food safety records up to date.
• Foster a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
