Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology seeks an on-site HR Advisor to deliver high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with managers, handling day-to-day administration and first-line guidance while ensuring compliance with company policy and UK employment law.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification (or working towards).
• Manufacturing environment generalist HR Advisor experience essential.
• Strong HR administration experience with excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting first line employee relations cases.
• Ability to coach and advise managers on standard HR processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including new starters, contractual changes and leavers.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within BambooHR or similar HRIS.
• Ensure HR data is up to date and accurate. Produce standard HR reports and support people metrics as required.
• Prepare HR documentation including letters, contracts, and policy-related correspondence.
• Support HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR processes and systems.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing timely advice to managers and employees.
• Manage employee relations cases including absence management, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct issues, escalating complex cases.
• Coach managers on consistent application of company policies and HR procedures.
• Support investigations, meetings, and documentation in line with company processes.
• Monitor probation review dates and support probation processes and communications.
• Provide practical first-line HR advice and coaching to managers on standard processes.
