Job summary

Brook Street is recruiting a Housing Estates Officer to support housing services across Ministry of Defence properties. You will visit properties, monitor contractor work and maintain daily admin at the base.

You’ll ensure compliance with safety standards, manage occupancies, and escalate where needed while coordinating with stakeholders and maintaining a busy case workload. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• A strong work ethic and practical, conscientious approach to property and service standards.
• Understanding of property repairs and basic property knowledge helpful.
• Comfortable using Microsoft applications for day-to-day tasks.
• Willingness to shadow other officers before going on site independently.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Physical fitness for visiting properties, including stairs.
• Commitment to compliance and safety expectations (including health and safety training).

Responsibilities

• Visiting MoD properties to monitor contractor work to an acceptable standard.
• Check property work and escalate if standards aren't met.
• Carry out occupant monitoring and management within portfolio.
• Conduct handovers to ensure families receive required service level.
• Support stakeholder engagement activities as needed.
• Undertake assurance checks on service levels and supplier work quality.
• Manage level-2 complaints promptly.
• Monitor/validate/authorise time reliefs within approved limits.
• Maintain allocated case workload to agreed standards.
• Support delivery of additional services within delegation and timeframes.
• Ensure safe lone working practices when required.
