Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Senior Health & Safety Advisor to support our operations with Southern Water. You will work on-site across multiple sites, delivering practical safety solutions and promoting a strong safety culture.

You’ll have at least five years’ experience, NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, IOSH membership, and a valid UK driving licence. Travel across the region and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent) is essential.
• Tech IOSH membership is essential.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
• Minimum five years' experience in a similar advisory role.
• Practical, on-site problem-solving and risk-based decision making.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations to check compliance and support safe systems of work.
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice to operational teams at all levels.
• Lead and support accident/incident investigations, identify root causes and recommend improvements.
• Promote positive safety behaviours and deliver ABC tours.
• Support safety objectives and ensure compliance with legislation and internal procedures.
• Identify gaps in H&S processes and help improve systems and performance.
• Contribute H&S input into tenders, bids and operational planning.
• Communicate changes in legislation and implement new requirements.
