Job summary

The Clancy Group is hiring an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support our Scottish Water contract. This on-site role works across Scotland, partnering with operational teams to promote safe working practices and wellbeing while driving continuous improvement.

You will conduct site inspections, provide H&S guidance, assist incident investigations and contribute to planning and tenders. A NEBOSH General Certificate (or Construction) and IOSH membership are essential, with a UK driving

Qualifications

• Experience in Health & Safety advisory role in construction/utilities/water environments.
• Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and its application.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and flexible hours to support operations.
• Ability to influence and support colleagues at all levels to meet legal responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
• Providing professional Health, Safety and Wellbeing advice and support to colleagues at all levels across the business.
• Advising operational teams, supporting the delivery of safety objectives and promoting best practice.
• Supporting accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
• Contributing Health & Safety input into tenders, bids and operational planning.
• Identifying opportunities to improve Health, Safety and Wellbeing systems, processes and performance.
• Promoting proactive hazard reporting and positive safety behaviours across operational teams.
• Supporting compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and company procedures.
