Job summary

Danaher’s Abcam facility in Cambridge, UK is seeking a Facilities Engineer to ensure reliable operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of electrical, HVAC, plumbing and general facilities equipment in a regulated laboratory setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical qualification with 8–10+ years in facilities or lab environments, MS Office skills, knowledge of Building Code and EHS policies, and a preferred NVQ3 or certified electrical qualification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8-10+ years in facilities/lab setting
• Strong MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills
• Ability to learn Building Code, Regulations and Environmental Health & Safety policies

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Inspect and document system status and track work orders against KPIs/SLAs
• Ensure compliance with EHS and site standards
