Job summary

Zero Surplus is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician for a Basildon-based on-site role. You will build and wire control boards and assemblies using detailed technical documentation, ensuring accurate cable routing and tidy presentation.

Working 39 hours per week with a flexible start between 7:00am and 9:00am, you’ll join a stable manufacturing team delivering high-quality electrical systems for commercial and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical assembly or panel wiring.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Experience with electrical components and control systems.
• Good manual dexterity for wiring and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control boards and enclosures using components.
• Carry out point-to-point wiring, routing and termination.
• Ensure high standards of cable management and presentation.
• Work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Inspect and test assemblies for accuracy and compliance.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
