Job summary

Amcor is seeking an EHS Officer to support the site in Cumbria. The role focuses on developing and delivering effective EHS training, coaching supervisors, and managing key EHS initiatives to improve safety on site.

You will work with the EHS Manager to audit compliance, manage KPI reporting, and ensure ongoing adherence to Amcor safety standards. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are essential to influence a positive safety culture across ~200 on-site staff.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety Diploma is optional but preferred.
• NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is optional but preferred.
• In depth practical experience of Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
• Good IT Skills and ability to use safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive development and implementation of EHS training and development.
• Manage EHS committee forums and drive safety culture.
• Support EHS Manager in audits, regulatory reporting and KPI reporting.
• Build strong relationships with production, safety reps and unions.
• Maintain Amcor Standards and support site Integrated Management System.
