Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Thirsk is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver (Shunter) to join our on-site team. The role focuses on shunting trailers, operating a TUG, and supporting day-to-day operations with minimal road driving.

You will hold a HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card, work a 4 on 4 off pattern from 6am to 6pm, and comply with all site procedures and safety standards. This is a permanent, full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence (C+E) with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Shunting experience with TUG preferred.
• Professional, reliable and comfortable in a customer-facing environment.

Responsibilities

• Shunt trailers on-site for the majority of the shift.
• Operate a TUG to manoeuvre trailers safely and efficiently.
• Work closely with on-site customer, maintaining a professional approach.
• Carry out vehicle checks and ensure all equipment is safe to use.
• Drive in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
