Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Sessay is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for a permanent full-time position. You will be responsible for shunting trailers safely around the site while maintaining a positive interaction with customers. This role requires a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E) and experience shunting trailers, ideally with a TUG.

Qualifications

• Experience with shunting trailers and using a TUG is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shunting trailers on-site for the majority of the shift (around 99% of the role)
• Using a TUG to manoeuvre trailers safely and efficiently
• Working closely with the on-site customer, maintaining a professional and positive approach at all times
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all equipment is safe to use
• Driving in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with all health and safety standards and site procedures

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Confident with shunting and ideally have experience using a TUG
• Professional, reliable and comfortable working in a very customer-facing environment
• Can work effectively as part of a small team (typically working alongside one other shunter)
