Job summary

REAP RECRUITMENT LTD in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prominent multi-tenant office building. You’ll be client-side, taking ownership of building operations, maintenance, contractor coordination, compliance and occupier experience.

You’ll work closely with the managing agent and a Regional Facilities Manager while having autonomy to manage on-site activity, identify issues and see them through to resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building/Fm/Facilities Management or similar role.
• Ability to coordinate contractors and maintenance works.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and building compliance.
• Comfort with CAFM or similar systems; proficiency with MS Office.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with occupiers and stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised, and self-driven with a can-do approach.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day operational management and presentation of the building.
• Be the on-site point of contact for occupiers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate maintenance, raise works and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage contractors on site, monitor standards and safe working practices.
• Carry out regular building inspections and ensure compliance records are up to date.
• Support Health & Safety requirements and keep documentation current.
• Ensure common areas are clean, safe and well-presented.
• Build positive occupier relationships and communicate updates.
• Liaise with the agent about viewings and presentation of vacant space.
• Collaborate with Property and Facilities Management team and escalate issues as needed.
