Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Skye Reinforcement Overhead Line Project, based from Scottish locations with on-site presence three days a week between Fort Augustus and the Isle of Skye.

You will help plan, monitor and control activities, manage NEC contract administration, engage stakeholders, and ensure delivery on time, within budget and to quality standards, while upholding health and safety.

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering, construction, PM or equivalent, or substantial practical experience.
• Experience delivering projects within transmission, energy, utilities or other regulated sectors.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation (CDM 2015).
• Commercial awareness and experience with NEC contracts.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safe project delivery and promote health, safety and environmental performance.
• Assist planning, monitoring and control of activities to deliver on time and on budget.
• Support commercial activities including NEC contract administration and change control.
• Apply governance, reporting standards and project lifecycle tools.
• Conduct site visits, stakeholder engagement, risk management and issue resolution.
