Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Skye Reinforcement Overhead Line Project, delivering a major transmission upgrade across the Scottish network. The role involves on-site presence and disciplined governance to meet safety, quality and schedule targets.

You will coordinate activities, manage risks and support commercial processes while promoting a culture of safety and efficiency across the project team.

Qualifications

• Understands project management principles and practices.
• Experience in transmission, construction, energy, utilities or regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with governance, reporting and NEC contract administration.
• Ability to coordinate stakeholders and drive actions through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe delivery of projects, promoting health, safety and environmental performance and ensuring CDM compliance.
• Assist planning, monitoring and control of project activities to deliver on time, within budget and quality standards.
• Support commercial activities including NEC contract administration and change control processes.
• Apply project governance frameworks and reporting standards across the lifecycle.
• Conduct pre-construction and delivery activities, including site visits, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
