Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the construction and commissioning of a major transmission Overhead Line Project in Scotland. You will help deliver the Skye Reinforcement OHL, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery with a focus on working across Fort Augustus to the Isle of Skye.

The role requires a solid foundation in project management, a relevant qualification in engineering/construction, and experience in regulated sectors.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of project management principles with related qualifications or experience.
• Experience in transmission, construction, energy or regulated sectors.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe delivery of projects, promoting health, safety and environmental performance.
• Assist with planning, monitoring and control of activities to deliver on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Support NEC contract administration, contractor management and change control processes.
• Apply governance, reporting standards and tools across the project lifecycle.
• Undertake pre-construction and delivery activities including site visits, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
