Babcock is hiring an Assistant Accountant at the Devonport Royal Dockyard site in Plymouth. This full-time role supports financial control, reporting and business performance, collaborating with Finance Managers and Engineering teams to ensure accurate information and timely decision-making.

Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, labour cost management, invoicing, and stakeholder engagement. AAT or ACCA/CIMA study is required, with SC clearance essential.

Competenze

• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Experience analysing financial and operational data to inform decisions.
• Proven ability to produce management information and dashboards in Excel.

Mansioni

• Prepare monthly financial reports, journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor labour, headcount and contractor costs for workforce planning.
• Manage invoicing and intercompany recharge activities; respond to stakeholder queries.
• Produce dashboards and management information for senior leaders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement across reporting processes.
