Job summary
GSK Ware Manufacturing Site in the United Kingdom seeks a strategic on-site technology leader to advance AI-enabled Smart Manufacturing initiatives. You will embed into site and business teams to rapidly translate high-priority opportunities into working PoCs, PoVs and MVPs, using real data and workflows.
Lead engineering across AI, data, integration and automation while ensuring governance and lifecycle ownership.
Qualifications
- Experience delivering AI, Data & Analytics, Smart Manufacturing or Digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing environments.
- Strong software engineering skills and modern application development frameworks.
- Experience with Generative AI, AI agents, prompt engineering and RAG approaches.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supply-chain operations and OT environments.
- Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to identify and deliver technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Embed with strategic GSC sites and business teams to understand operational challenges and opportunities.
- Translate Smart Manufacturing, AI, Data and Digital opportunities into achievable use cases and solutions.
- Design, build and validate PoCs, PoVs and MVPs using real site data and workflows, with rapid delivery.
- Provide hands-on engineering across AI, data, integration, applications and automation.
- Make evidence-based continue/adapt/stop recommendations based on value, feasibility, adoption, risk and scalability.
- Incorporate governance, cybersecurity, data governance and AI ethics from the start of engagements.
- Partner with product teams to transition validated solutions for industrialization and lifecycle ownership.
- Resolve deployment barriers across legacy systems and data silos in collaboration with site teams.
- Create reusable patterns, templates and architectures from site learnings for broader use.
