Job summary

Wynnstay Group is seeking a commercially driven poultry professional to join our Poultry Sales and Technical Support team. You’ll drive profitable growth of poultry feeds, pullets, and related products while building lasting customer relationships with farmers.

You’ll combine independent account management with team collaboration to hit sales targets, improve margins and grow market share across your trading area, providing practical on-farm technical support and ensuring compliance activities

Qualifications

• On-farm poultry experience and strong understanding of the poultry sector and supply chain.
• Commercial awareness and awareness of agricultural industry developments.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities, developing customer relationships and growing sales.
• Commitment to customer service with practical farm-level support.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Able to work independently in a defined trading area while collaborating with colleagues.
• Good IT and record-keeping skills to support account management and reporting.
• Must have a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Retain and grow poultry product sales through proactive selling and customer engagement in your trading area.
• Meet budgeted sales volumes and margins across poultry feeds, pullets and related products.
• Develop strong farm-level relationships and identify opportunities to increase business.
• Pursue new customers and run sales activities to sustain revenue growth.
• Provide knowledgeable technical support and be a reliable contact for poultry queries.
• Maintain regular on-farm presence to support customers purchasing Wynnstay poultry feeds and pullets.
• Assist with loading, delivery and arrival of pullet flocks.
• Support compliance activities including swabbing requirements.
• Promote Wynnstay products and services and maximise opportunities with colleagues.
• Support sales colleagues on farm when needed and contribute to team performance.
• Maintain accurate customer records and handle ledger reporting.
