Selwood Limited is seeking a Mobile Fitter for our Leeds branch and surrounding region. You will service and repair diesel engine equipment on customer sites and in the workshop, joining a call-out rota with standby allowance and overtime pay.

The role requires mechanical engineering experience (NVQ3 or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence. You will work safely, communicate with customers, and complete daily vehicle reports. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in Mechanical engineering (or other relevant qualifications) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with engines or mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in a plant environment, on site with customers and in a workshop is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence (6 points or less) is required.

Responsabilités

• Carry out repairs to diesel engine equipment as directed, including fault finding and diagnostics on customer sites.
• Conduct regular servicing on pump rental fleet equipment on customer sites.
• Work safely with awareness of PPE requirements.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
• Obtain signatures/names from sites to enable task processing.
• Maintain good housekeeping; keep areas and vehicles clean and organized.
• Complete daily vehicle defect reports to ensure safety.
• Perform tasks as instructed or trained, in a timely manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
