Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is inviting applications for an on-call firefighter based at Sutton Scotney Fire Station. The role is permanent and part of an on-call arrangement, requiring a minimum of 31 hours per week.

You will be paid for on-call responses and training, with an annual salary range of £2,365 to £6,054 plus incident call-out payments. No prior firefighting experience is required as a full training programme is provided.

Qualifications

• No previous firefighting experience required; training provided.
• Must be able to reach the fire station quickly after alert.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a range of emergencies as part of the on-call team.
• Attend community events and fire safety activities.
