Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an on-call firefighter for Beaulieu. The role is permanent with a minimum of 31 on-call hours per week and a salary that ranges from £2,365 to £6,054 per year, plus additional incident call-out payments.

You will be trained thoroughly, be required to reach the fire station quickly after alert, and work as part of a dedicated team protecting communities. On-call firefighters balance lives and duties while serving the public.

Qualifications

• You don’t need previous experience; a comprehensive training programme is provided.
• You must be able to reach the fire station quickly and safely after being alerted to an incident.
• Physical fitness is of utmost importance due to the demanding nature of the role.

Responsibilities

• Respond to a range of emergencies and engage with the community.
