Job summary

Midland Metro Limited (MML) is seeking a skilled Infrastructure OLE Supervisor to lead maintenance, inspection and fault-response activities across the West Midlands Metro network. You will act as on-site technical authority, coordinating worksites, managing isolations and supporting asset reliability and compliance.

This safety-critical role requires leadership of OLE teams, adherence to RAMS and engineering tolerances, and driving continuous improvement in asset performance while ensuring high

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in rail or light-rail OLE environments.
• Experience working in safety-critical operational settings.
• Experience supervising electrical isolations and OLE maintenance.
• Understanding of engineering tolerances and technical measurement techniques.
• GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical qualification.
• ILM Level 3 (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate OLE inspections, maintenance and fault-response activities across the network.
• Act as PIC/PICOP and AP for isolations within competency.
• Lead on-site OLE works with full compliance to RAMS and safety procedures.
• Oversee contact wire systems, tension devices, insulators and support structures.
• Verify isolations, perform compliance checks andmeasure wire height, stagger and wear.
• Lead fault-finding, repairs and adjustments to restore system integrity safely.
• Maintain OLE inspection/maintenance records in Agility system.
• Supervise OLE Technicians, Team Members and Apprentices, promoting safety and technical standards.
• Oversee contractor activities and verify workmanship before return to service.
• Support commissioning, upgrades and projects affecting overhead line assets.
• Deputise for the OLE Team Leader when required.
