Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Overhead Line Equipment) to support a growing Elizabeth Line electrification program. You will lead technical engineering assurance, work with Project Managers, designers, contractors and operations to deliver safe, compliant solutions across renewals and enhancements.

The role focuses on OLE asset renewals, traction power improvements and long-term asset strategy, ensuring outcomes meet industry standards and operational needs.

Qualifications

• Specialist OLE engineering expertise across lifecycle.
• Ability to lead technical decisions with project teams.
• Experience in OLE renewal, refurbishment or reliability projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist OLE engineering assurance across the project lifecycle.
• Support OLE renewal, refurbishment and traction power projects as engineering lead.
• Manage interfaces between design, construction, operations and assurance teams.
• Oversee contractor/consultant engineering deliverables for robustness.
• Contribute to long-term OLE asset strategy and investment planning.
• Ensure projects comply with TfL Pathway governance and engineering standards.
