Zusammenfassung

Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a 12-month fixed term contract based at our Leeds laboratory. You will perform oil, fuel and coolant analyses using wet chemistry and instrumental methods, ensuring SOPs and GLP compliance.

You will work in a collaborative environment with a focus on accuracy, data integrity and continuous process improvement, contributing to a high-quality condition monitoring service.

Qualifikationen

• Relevant industrial laboratory experience or qualified to at least HNC/HND level in a scientific discipline.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in various laboratory techniques and equipment.
• Deep understanding of GLP, COSHH & Laboratory H&S practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.

Aufgaben

• Sample Analysis: Perform analyses on batches of oil, fuel, and coolant samples using techniques such as wet chemistry, GC, FTIR, ICP-OES, XRF, KF, autotitrators, automated liquid handling equipment, and particle counters.
• Sample Preparation: Sort and prepare samples into batches, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs.
• Process Improvement: Investigate and implement new laboratory process improvements as directed by the Analytical Services Supervisor.
• Data Management: Accurately enter sample data and results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Document Management: Write and review SOPs to GLP standards as assigned by the Supervisor.
