Job summary

United Infrastructure Group seeks an experienced OHL Learning & Competency Lead for an office-based role in Darlington. You will deliver face-to-face technical training, assess competencies and develop course content across UK sites.

You will coach operatives, manage apprenticeships, ensure NPORS/EUSR compliance, and lead improvements to the training facilities to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering overhead lines/utility training.
• Proven ability to assess competency and provide remedial training.
• Experience developing lesson plans and practical exercises reflecting field practice.
• Strong coaching, communication and assessment skills across the UK sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver face-to-face technical, plant, safety and competency training.
• Prepare and deliver classroom sessions, practical demonstrations and toolbox talks.
• Conduct practical and knowledge assessments; provide feedback and remedial actions.
• Develop course content reflecting legislation and client requirements.
• Lead apprentices and trainees through competency pathways.
