Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Construction Manager to lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of training across our construction operations in the UK. The role focuses on building workforce capability, ensuring compliance, supporting career development, and enabling our teams to deliver projects safely and effectively.

Qualifications

• Experience in Learning & Development within construction or infrastructure.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and funding frameworks would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement learning and development strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Identify workforce skills gaps and create effective training plans.
• Design, coordinate, and manage technical, compliance, leadership, and behavioural training programmes.
• Ensure all mandatory training and competency requirements are achieved and maintained.
• Lead apprenticeship, graduate, and trainee development programmes.
• Maintain training records, competency matrices, and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with operational teams to understand current and future workforce development needs.
• Build strong partnerships with training providers, colleges, and industry bodies.
• Monitor training effectiveness and continuously improve learning solutions.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, development, and professional growth.
