Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a children's residential home in Sandwell. You will drive safeguarding, governance, and outcomes for young people with complex needs in a warm, therapeutic environment.

You will manage a skilled staff team, ensure regulatory compliance with Ofsted and CQC, and build strong partnerships with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in childcare/early years education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare).
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management for residential childcare is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the children’s residential home, ensuring safeguarding, governance and regulatory compliance.
• Create a safe, therapeutic, and person-centred environment promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Coach and develop the staff team through supervision and professional development.
• Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans meeting each young person’s needs and aspirations.
• Build partnerships with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals, education providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance, governance, and risk management.
• Support education, health, employment, and preparation for adulthood for young people.
• Promote activities, life skills, community engagement and positive experiences for independence.
