Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager for a children’s residential home in Sandwell, West Midlands. The role focuses on safe, therapeutic care and strong governance to secure positive outcomes for young people.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, ensure CQC compliance, and develop individual care plans. A Level 3/5 Diploma in childcare leadership is required, with a salary of £55,000–£80,000 DOE for a permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent
• Requires Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management for residential childcare
• Experience in leading children's residential services is essential

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the home ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
• Create a safe, nurturing, therapeutic, and person-centred environment promoting independence and wellbeing
• Lead, mentor and develop a skilled staff team through supervision and CPD
• Develop and review individualised care and support plans for young people
• Build partnerships with families, local authorities, healthcare professionals, education providers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain safeguarding, quality assurance, governance, and risk management across the service
• Support young people in education, health, wellbeing and preparation for adulthood
• Promote meaningful activities and community engagement to enhance independence
