Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for our new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York. You will lead and develop the provision, oversee day-to-day operations, and support teams of Support Workers to ensure outstanding care and regulatory compliance.

You will bring Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) and at least 3 years in children's residential care, including leadership, with safeguarding and Ofsted inspection

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support teams across the home, acting as corporate parent to the children.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality care delivery.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance with Ofsted and other safeguarding standards.
• Shape and embed best practice as the service is developed from the outset.
