Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Ofsted Registered Manager for a new not-for-profit Children’s Services Residential Home in York. You will lead and develop the service, support teams, and act as corporate parent to the children in our care.

You will hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare and have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in children’s residential care, including management, with strong safeguarding and Ofsted compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across the home.
• Act as corporate parent to the children we care for, helping and supporting them to thrive.
• Establish and develop the new service while ensuring high-quality care delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Drive outstanding outcomes for the children and young people we support.
