Job summary

Agincare is launching a new not-for-profit Children’s Services residential home in York. We seek an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead, develop and embed best practice, guiding a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to deliver outstanding care for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, develop care plans and foster a safe, inclusive environment where young people can thrive and staff can grow in leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
• Experience planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line with relevant regulations.
• Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours.
• Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support teams of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers across the home.
• Act as corporate parent to the children in care and ensure they thrive daily.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the residential home in York and maintain high-quality care.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements and embed best practice.
• Shape and develop the new service from the outset to achieve outstanding outcomes.
