Job summary

Purosearch Ltd in Haslingden, Lancashire seeks a Children's Registered Manager to lead a residential home for children with complex needs. You will ensure safeguarding, therapeutic care and regulatory compliance under Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations.

The role requires a proven track record as an Ofsted Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to step up, with strong leadership, relationship-building and trauma-informed practice. Excellent progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Existing Ofsted Registered Manager, or an experienced Deputy Manager with at least two years' experience who is ready to step into a Registered Manager role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and inspire a residential team.
• Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills.
• Commitment to trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall operational leadership and management of the children's home.
• Lead, supervise and develop a high-performing residential care team.
• Oversee care planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.
• Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
• Promote a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
• Work collaboratively with education providers, social workers and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor service performance and produce reports aligned with organisational KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards of care across the home.
• Contribute to wider organisational projects and service development initiatives.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
