Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is seeking a Registered Manager for a 2-bed children's home in Fleetwood. You will lead day-to-day operations, ensure safe, high-quality care, and maintain Ofsted compliance while developing a skilled staff team.

You will manage budgets, staffing rotas, and care plans, driving continuous improvement and safeguarding best practices to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a children’s residential care team.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and child protection.
• Excellent understanding of Ofsted requirements and regulations (2015).
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the leadership and day‑to‑day management of the 2-bed children's home.
• Ensure the home provides safe, nurturing and high‑quality child‑centred care.
• Maintain full compliance with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
• Promote a strong safeguarding culture and ensure the welfare of children and young people remains paramount.
• Recruit, lead, support and develop a stable and motivated staff team.
• Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources effectively.
• Oversee budgets and ensure the home operates within financial parameters.
• Develop, implement and regularly review care plans and risk assessments.
• Complete audits, quality assurance checks and monitoring activity.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, families and other professionals.
• Collaborate to ensure consistent and holistic support for children.
• Monitor outcomes and ensure care is child-centered.
