Job summary

ARV Solutions Contracts in Coventry is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities from procurement through to final account in a subcontracting environment. The role focuses on offsite and panelised construction solutions, delivering efficiency, quality and innovation.

The successful candidate will have 2–3 years' experience, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to handle budgets and payments while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial role within the construction sector.
• Experience working for a subcontractor or within a subcontracting environment.
• Sound understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
• Experience managing project budgets, valuations and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of subcontract procurement, payment applications and account administration.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining commercial control.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Procure and manage subcontract packages in accordance with project procurement strategies.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and administer subcontractor accounts.
• Manage applications for payment and ensure compliance with contractual payment terms.
• Drive effective cash flow management across assigned projects.
• Identify and manage commercial and contractual risks, implementing mitigation measures where required.
• Monitor project progress against programme objectives, including subcontractor performance.
• Prepare, submit and agree valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Maintain accurate cost reporting, budgeting and forecasting to support profitability.
