Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking an Offshore Wind Turbine Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of offshore wind assets at the Gwynt Y Môr site. You will travel offshore to perform planned maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on wind turbine generators while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.

You will join a skilled service team to maximize turbine availability and support renewable energy generation across the UK & Ireland region.

Qualifications

Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering is required.
Experience in wind turbine maintenance or offshore operations.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities for electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, and corrective maintenance on offshore wind turbine generators.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults to minimize downtime and maintain performance.
Replace defective components and carry out repairs per Siemens Energy procedures and quality standards.
Adhere to offshore health, safety, and environmental requirements, including GWO standards and PPE compliance.
Support a zero-harm culture by reporting hazards and incidents and promoting safe practices.
Accurately complete maintenance reports, service documentation, and asset management records.
Maintain equipment, tooling, and spare parts inventory records to support operations.
