Job summary

Skyform Limited seeks an experienced Offshore Wind Turbine Inspection Technician to inspect offshore wind turbines across UK sites, with full-time hours and nationwide travel. The role offers a daily rate of £240–£340 depending on experience and offshore readiness.

You will assess integrity, mechanical condition and safety compliance, carrying out inspections and reporting findings clearly to supervisors, engineers and clients, while ensuring adherence to safety and UKAS standards.

Qualifications

• Two years' offshore wind-turbine inspection experience.
• BTEC Level 3 in mechanical or engineering.
• Knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and PSSR requirements.
• Experience working at height and offshore environments.
• Current GWO certificates: Working at Heights, First Aid, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness and Sea Survival.
• Offshore medical/fitness-to-work certificate with Chester Step assessment.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel to mobilisation points and offshore sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and reactive inspections of offshore wind turbines.
• Carry out visual inspections of service lifts, cranes, pressure systems and turbine-mounted safety equipment.
• Identify and assess defects, then communicate findings clearly to supervisors, engineers and clients.
• Record findings accurately through digital reporting systems, supported by photographs and measurements where required.
• Work in accordance with company procedures, client requirements and applicable UKAS inspection-body requirements.
• Follow health, safety and environmental requirements, including toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety briefings.
• Maintain inspection tools, personal protective equipment and current certifications.
