Job summary

ONYX Insight is expanding its EU team and seeks a Wind Turbine Technician to support asset integrity and condition monitoring across wind farms. You will provide on-site engineering expertise to operations and maintenance teams, focusing on main bearings and gearboxes to ensure safety and efficiency.

The role involves onshore and offshore work with potential travel, shift patterns including weekends, and the chance to develop skills in predictive technologies within a global renewable energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
• Time-served apprenticeship with an HNC/HND qualification.
• Min 2 years’ experience in technical roles, mechanical or electrical focus; wind industry a plus.
• Experience with borescope inspections or complex mechanical systems desirable.
• Strong report writing and client communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct asset integrity inspections on offshore and onshore wind farms.
• Install condition monitoring hardware to improve turbine performance.
• Manage sensor installation projects and RAMS; coordinate subcontractors.
• Support failure analysis and on-site field engineering projects.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality customer reports.
