Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Offshore Wind Inspector to support ongoing operations from Lowestoft on a 2/2 rotation. You will inspect offshore wind assets, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability across the project.

The contract runs until December 2026 with a strong potential for extension; candidates should have offshore wind experience, be able to interpret drawings, and deliver detailed reports while liaising with offshore teams and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Experience in offshore wind sector.
  • Background in inspection, asset integrity, QA.
  • Knowledge of offshore safety standards.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and documentation.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills.
  • Offshore certifications (GWO/OGUK) desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of offshore wind assets, structures, and equipment.
  • Ensure inspections meet project requirements, standards and legislation.
  • Identify and report defects, anomalies, and maintenance needs.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports and maintain records.
  • Support asset integrity management and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with offshore teams, stakeholders and contractors.
  • Promote health, safety and environmental compliance.

Job description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Offshore Wind Inspector to support ongoing operations within a major offshore wind project. Working on a 2/2 rotational basis from Lowestoft, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, safety, and compliance of offshore assets through inspection and reporting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project with a contract running until December 2026 and a strong likelihood of extension.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of offshore wind assets, structures, and associated equipment.
  • Ensure inspection activities are completed in accordance with project requirements, industry standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Identify and report defects, anomalies, and areas requiring maintenance or repair.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Support asset integrity management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with offshore teams, project stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Promote and uphold the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working within the offshore wind sector.
  • Proven background in inspection, asset integrity, quality assurance, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of offshore safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection documentation.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Full offshore certification and medicals desirable (such as GWO and OGUK Medical).
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
