Job summary

SLPE in London or Bristol is seeking a Structural CAD Designer to create 2D drawings and 3D models for offshore wind foundation structures using AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel. You will work with engineers to ensure designs meet standards and client requirements, taking ownership of small work packages and delivering high-quality drawings.

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) or a T Level qualification in a suitable engineering, design subject or suitable work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant steel design draughting experience, ideally in offshore structures.
• A basic knowledge of welding symbols is desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Advance Steel; training can be provided.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.

Responsibilities

• Produce 3D models from engineering inputs using AutoCAD and Advance Steel.
• Produce accurate, clearly presented 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Produce accurate MTOs and take responsibility for small packages of drawings.
• Work to relevant standards, design codes and client requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support CAD requirements across teams.
