Job summary

Gattaca is hiring an Offshore Survey Engineer to oversee installation, operation and maintenance of specialist survey equipment on customer vessels and offshore sites worldwide. You will act as the on-site technical expert and provide first-line troubleshooting to support safe, efficient offshore operations.

You will work closely with clients and project teams to maintain operational performance and uphold high professional standards across mobilisations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Offshore Survey Engineer.
• Experience working offshore with offshore survival certification and medical certificate.
• Ability to install, operate and maintain survey equipment on offshore vessels and client sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate and commission survey equipment on offshore vessels and client sites.
• Operate, monitor and maintain deployed equipment to ensure optimum performance.
• Diagnose faults, perform first-line repairs and coordinate with global workshops for support.
• Ensure equipment is operated and maintained per manufacturer recommendations and company procedures.
• Monitor asset configurations and maintenance records offshore.
• Handle equipment storage, handling and maintenance to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
• Prepare equipment for demobilisation and report any damage or defects.
• Deliver excellent customer service as on-site technical representative and build client relationships.
• Complete documentation such as timesheets, technical reports and expense claims promptly after mobilisation.
