Job summary

Osprey Engineering Solutions Ltd. is seeking an Offshore Sales Engineer to grow new business and strengthen existing accounts across the offshore energy sector. The role requires engaging with technical stakeholders, understanding applications and delivering tailored solutions.

Based in Dundee with regular travel across the UK, you will work with operators, contractors and OEMs to develop proposals, quotations and tender responses, negotiating terms and supporting customers post-sale.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical or engineering sales or account management.
• Experience selling to offshore energy sector (oil & gas or renewables).
• Engineering background with a degree, HNC/HND or apprenticeship in mechanical/electrical or related discipline.
• Ability to discuss technical detail with customers confidently.
• Strong commercial awareness with quotation and negotiation experience.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify and win new business with offshore operators, contractors and OEMs.
• Build a strong sales pipeline and convert opportunities into orders.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
• Visit customers at offices and sites to understand their needs.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations and tender responses.
• Negotiate pricing and terms within guidelines and report on activity and forecasts.
