A leading company is seeking a Safety Case Engineer to join their expanding team in Norwich. The role involves developing and maintaining Offshore Safety Cases and Onshore COMAH Safety Reports, ensuring compliance with regulations. This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding licence to operate team. The successful candidate will be responsible, alongside the existing Safety Case Engineer, for the development, maintenance, review, update, and submission of Offshore Safety Cases (SC) and Onshore COMAH Safety Reports (CSR) in support of the Perenco Southern North Sea (SNS) Operation.
Perenco SNS are the Duty Holder of two critical infrastructure COMAH Sites and thirty-six offshore assets. Within the License to Operate team, the Safety Case Engineers are influential in managing the safety cases for these assets, ensuring SC/CSR documents and their associated systems are well maintained.
Working collaboratively across the business, with onshore engineering teams, technical authors, performance standard owners, and operations personnel, the Engineer will ensure Safety Cases/COMAH Safety Reports remain compliant with relevant statutory provisions and align with industry best practices.
This is a full-time office-based role, working Monday to Friday in our Norwich office.
Higher technical qualification, preferably engineering; other disciplines considered. Chartered engineer desirable but not essential.
10+ years' experience with Offshore UKCS Oil and Gas Operators, top-tier COMAH sites, or the Competent Authority. Thorough understanding of Safety Case and COMAH regulations. Experience in writing and developing QRA and Safety Cases reports. Experience working in multi-discipline teams and familiarity with project management, planning, and document control. Experience with the Competent Authority is desirable.
Adept communicator, autonomous worker, strong team player, efficient, meticulous, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
