Information Security Engineer - Flexible location

Bibby Financial Services has an exciting opportunity for an Information Security Engineer to join our team, working in any of our UK locations. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary of £70,000 – £80,000 per annum.

As our Information Security Engineer, you will:

• Design and implement secure infrastructures, including cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, and Microsoft 365.
• Use threat intelligence to stay ahead of emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Design network setup and control environments, including Zero Trust policies.
• Develop and enforce security policies and standards, explaining their rationale to the wider business.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and improve security tools and controls.
• Collaborate with managed SOC providers for incident response.
• Assist in developing and maintaining incident response plans.
• Assess and address findings from pen testing assessments.
• Evaluate current security tools and emerging technologies.
• Participate in threat-based and scenario testing.
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to integrate security into project lifecycles.

Qualifications and skills:

• Technical security certifications such as AZ-500 or MS-500.
• At least 5 years of experience in a technical security role, preferably in financial services.
• Deep understanding of infrastructure, networking, application, web, and cloud security.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 security.
• Knowledge of AI security risks.
• Understanding of GDPR and FCA regulations.
• Proven ability to incorporate security into IT and business projects.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
