Job summary

Windcat, a leading provider of offshore crew transfer services, is seeking a Service Engineer to maintain and repair the expanding CTV fleet around the UK, from routine equipment replacements to engine removals and installations.

You will work with crewmembers across sites, travel across the UK and occasionally Europe, and uphold QHSE standards while training crews to service their vessels.

Qualifications

• Experience as a service engineer.
• Experience with high-speed engines.
• Able to perform diagnostic checks and fault finding.
• Fluent English.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Experience with MTU and Volvo engines.
• Marine-related experience preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• General vessel maintenance, inspection and repairs.
• Engine changes (MTU, MAN and Volvo Penta).
• Gearbox changes (Twindisc and Servogear).
• Fault-finding and repairs of electrical, hydraulic and heating systems.
• Collaborate with crews and train them to service/check their vessel.
• Travel and work away at multiple sites around the UK and occasionally Europe.
• Demonstrate and maintain QHSE standards and promote safety culture.
