Job summary

Windcat is seeking an experienced CTV Master to represent the company on board and transfer wind turbine technicians and passengers to offshore windfarms. You will ensure safety, conduct drills, and supervise cargo operations while maintaining clear stakeholder communication.

Role includes vessel navigation, ISM compliance, crew leadership, and on-board administration. Must have Master license for <200 GT, MCA stability certification, and UK rights to work; travel across UK/Europe is required.

Qualifications

• Master licensed on vessels <200 GT (STCW II/2 or II/3 Masters 200 code Vessels) (RYA is not accepted).
• MCA Approved Workboat Stability Course.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Passport – valid for travel to UK and EU.

Responsibilities

• Navigate and manoeuvre the vessel safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to ISM code and applicable shipping rules and regulations.
• Complete annual Master reviews, inspections and maintenance as per procedures.
• Deliver a professional service when transferring technicians; maintain clear communications with stakeholders.
• Undertake onboard administration, recordkeeping and reporting to the office.
• Lead and manage vessel crew, providing training and guidance as needed.
• Undertake instructions from shoreside management.
