Job summary

Windcat is seeking a Trainee CTV Master to act as the on-board company representative, transferring technicians to offshore windfarms and handling cargo duties. You will ensure safety, conduct drills, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders to deliver professional service throughout transfers.

Under the direction of the Master, you will lead and train crew, perform maintenance, and participate in emergency drills to keep readiness high and operations compliant across UK and European

Qualifications

• Masters <200 GT with STCW II/2 or II/3, 200 code vessels.
• SEAFARER certifications and UK rights documented.
• English proficiency and safety training required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake safe navigation, manoeuvring and vessel operation.
• Promote and conduct safety drills; ensure safety culture on board.
• Manage vessel crew; provide training and guidance as needed.
• Complete on-board admin, recordkeeping and reporting to office.
• Coordinate shore-side communications and respond to emergencies.
• Oversee vessel maintenance and support engineers when needed.
